Putting pedal steel licks in the hands of guitarists
HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR FENDER B-BENDER
- From time to time you may need to use a tiny bit of oil on the B string bridge
where the string contacts the saddle. This is the only recommended maintenance.
- Start by tuning the B string pitch using the regular tuner.
The thumb wheel tuner, located on the back cover plate of the Fender B-Bender,
tunes the note that the B string is raised to when you actuate the Bender by pushing
down on the neck of the guitar. Turn the thumb wheel towards the sharp (#) to raise the
pitch or towards the flat (b) to lower the pitch of the actuated note.
- String Bender inventor Gene Parsons recommends B string gauge .013 for best
tone. Feel free to experiment as all string gauges will work fine.
- Spring Tension
- Please see a Certified Fender Service provider if you wish to alter the spring tension
on your Fender B-Bender.
